Business Intelligence Engineer, Global Selling Central BI
Description Amazon Global Selling has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. Today, more than 50% of Amazon's total unit sales come from third-party selection. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 19+ overseas marketplaces, and supporting local Sellers’ success and growth on the Amazon. And the Global Selling Central BI team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that drive seller success and operational excellence, while leveraging latest AI, LLM, and automation technologies to drive innovation. Key job responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and ETL pipelines to support business intelligence initiatives • Partner with Product, Technical, Business, and Marketing teams to understand data requirements and design scalable and user-friendly BI solutions • Lead end-to-end Customer Data Platform (CDP) initiatives including design and implement customer data models, identity resolution frameworks, real-time data integration pipelines , customer segmentation logic, privacy-compliant data governance, and development of actionable customer insights • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to ensure efficient data processing • Implement automated reporting and dashboard solutions to track KPIs and business metrics • Design and implement AI/LLM-powered solutions to automate routine tasks and enhance decision-making processes Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
