Position Summary:
Responsible for monitoring of Revenue Cycle systems, development of reports and data sets, analyzing trends and opportunities, identify root causes and proficient in recommending design improvements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities As Assigned:
Designs and implements reporting applications including, but not limited to, BI dashboards, reporting cubes, and batch reports.
Works with project lead, business users and analysts to gather requirements, conduct design sessions and prepare specifications and translates project requirements into functional and technical specifications for BI reports, dashboards and analytical applications.
Develops, implements and maintains test strategies and plans.
Leads the development of the organization’s short and long term Business Intelligence initiatives and provides production support for Business Intelligence capabilities.
Leads and managers data governance processes for revenue cycle Business Intelligence initiatives
Works closely with the Systems Administrator to ensure operational efficiency.
Works with end users on specific questions regarding appropriate use of the BI tools and data.
Manages the development of project timelines including the release timeframe, available resources and fulfills obligations outlined in project plans to deliver a defined release package.
Qualifications:
Required:
a. Functional and technical knowledge of supported enterprise data delivery tools
b. Evaluating, implementing, and deploying self-service BI tools
c. Report design and delivery
d. Dashboards, metrics, analytics, and objects
e. Rules Engines
f. Testing and implementing tool upgrades
g. Monitoring tool usage statistics
Preferred:
Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 Two to three years’ experience in hospital financial services or patient services. Certifications in the following: Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) Proficient in Cerner CCL programming languageEqual Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans
