The role

 

The BI Developer will have a strong background in data visualisation and business intelligence, leveraging tools and technologies from MSFT, AWS, or open-source platforms. The BI Developer will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, creating compelling visualisations, and supporting decision-making processes across the organisation.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain BI reporting suites, including dataflows, semantic models, frontend reports, dashboards, and BI solutions. Develop, produce, and deliver one-off management information to provide insights and aid decision-making.Design and create data visualisations using appropriate techniques and tools , adhering to UI/UX best practices. Source, prepare, and integrate data for analysis from diverse business and operational processes and engage with stakeholders to prototype and refine visualisations and reports.Contribute to the exploration and experimentation of new data visualisation approaches.            Deliver predictive and prescriptive analytics using Python to support strategic decision-making           Create and deliver standard and custom reports in accordance with stakeholder needs. Operationalise and automate the production of data visuals for efficient and timely delivery and ensure data quality and integrity to provide confidence in decision-making. Present compelling data narratives through dashboards and reports using enterprise BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.Oversee data migration activities within Snowflake environments, ensuring seamless integration and performance.                                                                                      Advise on the appropriate use of data visualisation tools and techniques for different purposes and contexts and apply agile methodologies to deliver iterative value and continuous improvementCollaborate with Business Partner to understand business requirements and translate them into visualizations.                     Monitor and analyze large datasets to identify opportunities, solve problems, and inform strategy                                                                                                                                                                 

 

Who we’re looking for

B.Sc. degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Minimum 2 years experience with Snowflake data environments and enterprise BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)Certification in relevant technologies such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, or equivalent.Expertise in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologiesExperience with advanced data visualisation techniques and tools.Knowledge of DAX, Python and JavaScript.Advanced proficiency in Phython and machine learning for predictive and prescriptive analytics.Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as MSFT Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or open-source frameworks like D3.js.Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools, including SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing.Experience with data warehousing solutions based on Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or open-source databases like PostgreSQL.Experience with data modeling and data integration techniques to ensure data quality.Ability to design and implement dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.Knowledge of DAX queries and SQL-like programming.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
