The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. Business Integration Software Engineer (m/f/d)
Key Responsibilities
Design, development, execution and support of all Business Integration software processes and functions. This includes all software in the Business Integration environment, e.g.
Design, development, test and support of BI Platforms (C# Webapp) Design, development, test and support of various BI applications and tools (C#, VB) Support vendor selection process for new manufacturing software Provide training and support for existing BI software Work closely together across other organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing and IT) Integrate third-party APIs and services with existing software systems as needed. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software projects and processes.Experiences/Education - Required Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Informatics or similar 3+ years of software development experience Very good knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 201x (C#, VB) Experience with customer-facing solutions developed with Microsoft .Net Good knowledge of Web development toolset Good knowledge of SQL databases e.g. Oracle, MSSQL Server Good knowledge of ITIL and AGILE processes Web application development using MVC design pattern Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Good English skills, in verbal and written form Ability for international travel (10%) Experiences in manufacturing IT are advantageous
