Job Summary
The Senior Analyst serves as a leader and driver of analytics and reporting to Novant Health leadership and staff on key Human Resources (HR) initiatives.
This role leverages HR and HRIS systems, as well as people data, to deliver meaningful insights and reporting that support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
The Senior Analyst will partner closely with Senior and Executive Leaders to develop and advance the organizational rigor necessary to achieve a top-performing organization. Through the development and execution of analytics and reporting that drive optimal recruitment, retention, performance, and overall Team Member satisfaction, the Senior Analyst provides partnership, direction, and facilitation to leaders and teams in:
+ People data insights and workforce analytics
+ Value optimization and efficiency opportunities
+ Execution of high-priority HR and organizational initiatives
The Senior Analyst is expected to pursue their work with a high level of energy, consistently pushing self and others for results while supporting the organization in:
+ Education and training on people analytics tools and methods
+ Data collection, analysis, and translation of HRIS and people data into actionable insights
+ Project facilitation and project management
+ Mentoring, coaching, and leadership development
As a leader, the Senior Analyst provides primary support to leaders within HR Workforce Insights and the broader HR Team, demonstrating the ability to mentor fellow Team Members while strengthening the organization’s ability to leverage HRIS and people data in driving business outcomes.

Owning the development and delivery of key HR insights through best-of-breed analytics, reports and dashboards through effective story-telling. Lead and mentor fellow Team Members in analytic and data visualization best practices.
Qualifications
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Prefer that the degree is in statistics, economics, mathematics, data analytics or strong relevant technical experience, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. Master's Degree, preferred.
Experience: Minimum eight years in analytics role. Significant experience delivering insightful analytics with significant complexity with a high degree of autonomy, required.
Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
+ 8+ years of SQL/SAS programming experience, with a proven ability to query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from enterprise data warehouses.
+ Advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables, Power Pivot, and dynamic reporting to streamline data analysis.
+ Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, enabling effective storytelling through data.
+ Deep expertise in data querying and aggregation, extracting and integrating information from multiple systems to generate meaningful conclusions.
+ Strong analytical skills, capable of identifying trends, interpreting findings, and uncovering actionable business opportunities.
+ Proven ability to present data-driven insights, translating complex technical analyses into strategic recommendations for key stakeholders.
+ Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
+ Problem-solving mindset, driven by attention to detail and a strategic, analytical approach to challenges.
