Title: Business Growth Intern

Reports to:  Head of Operations Management, Business Growth

Key tasks & responsibilities

Your key tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on where you spend your placement with us, and that could be in either our Sales, Account Management & Capture team or our Social Value team within Strategy & Marketing.  You could be;

Growing your knowledge around how we analyse pre-market Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) analysis of customers and competitors

Helping to develop a UK Framework to assess ESG Maturity of external customers, competitors and suppliers

Supporting the implementation of a tool to track, measure & benchmark all of our ESG/social value activities in the UK

Working on and supporting competitive captures / bids

Networking and interfacing with customers and/or internal stakeholders

Supporting Sales Operations and gaining knowledge of using a Thales Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tool

Contributing to and participating in major customer exhibitions and events

About You

We are seeking talented individuals with a passion and commitment for learning. You will;

Be a keen volunteer with a demonstrable record of participating in volunteering activities.

Have experience in using the Microsoft Office suite, Jabber and Microsoft Teams

Qualifications

You are required to do an ‘on the job’ gap year as part of your degree qualification

You will be on track to complete a degree in any subject, business-related is desirable

KPIs

Complete at least 2 rotations within the Business growth community, delivering on the objectives agreed with your line and placement managers at the start of each rotation

Present regular summaries of key learning and development over the course of your internship to your placement and line managers

This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.  Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.

To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.  In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
