Business Execution Consultant

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a UK-based Business Execution Consultant to join the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Front Line, New Business Initiatives (NBI) Governance team.

The team manages the end-to-end (1) New Business Initiative, (2) New Product, (3) Product Modification and (4) Product Expansion risk assessment globally and ensures these are implemented and monitored in a way that effectively manages risk.

The role is responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of the CIB New Business Initiative process with focus on initiatives impacting EMEA and APAC.  In addition, the role will also be responsible for incorporating the international requirements into the process design as well as provide thought leadership on updates to the program.


In this role, you will:

Participate in a variety of assigned and ongoing business operations to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectivesIdentify opportunities for process improvement by conducting root cause testing of all compliance and business metricsDetermine areas of strength or Business Execution opportunity within defined scope of workReview and research strategies and action plans to establish effective processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectationsUtilize independent judgment to guide moderate risk deliverablesPresent recommendations to develop, implement, and monitor strategic approaches, effectiveness of support function, and business performance improvement opportunities for managing risks of the businessExercise independent judgment and provide guidance in diverse support functions and operations for a single business group within a line of businessCollaborate and consult with leaders and executive managementProvide work direction to less experienced Strategy and Execution staff


Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Maintain and enhance international product governance frameworkDeliver NBI Governance to the non-US regionsAssist EMEA and APAC businesses in completing NBI risk assessments and approvalEngage regional leadership and Independent Risk Management in NBI product risk reviewsManage the coordination between regional and US stakeholdersCommunicate status, progress and escalations to senior leadershipIdentify training opportunities, formulate and deliver the appropriate solutionsProgram enhancement -- review strategies and action plans to maintain effective NBI processes while meeting performance metrics and policy expectationsCollaborate and consult with leaders and executive managementExperience in Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationExperience with multi-jurisdictional New Product Governance including (1) New Business Initiatives, (2) New Products, (3) Product Modifications or expansions and (4) Product Performance MonitoringExperience / understanding of Capital Markets (broker/dealer trading practices across foreign exchange, fixed income, equities, and derivatives), Investment Banking and Commercial Real Estate product
