Business Development Representative (EMEA)
The Role

Halcyon is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR), EMEA to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and generating qualified pipeline within the cybersecurity and ransomware protection space.

This role will primarily focus on France, Germany, and the broader DACH region. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, business fluency in both French and German, and a proactive approach to sales.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation: Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach).

Client Engagement: Engage with decision-makers across target accounts to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and ransomware-related pain points.

Sales Support: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to execute lead generation campaigns and outreach strategies.

Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within Salesforce.

Educate & Qualify: Share Halcyon’s value proposition and qualify leads for hand-off to Account Executives.

Nurturing: Consistently follow up with leads to ensure engagement until they are ready for deeper sales conversations.

Market Intelligence: Stay current on cybersecurity trends, compliance requirements, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in sales development or business development, preferably in cybersecurity or technology.

Business fluency in French and German (verbal and written) required.

Strong communication skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders.

Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, Gong, etc.).

Proactive and able to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales activity targets and KPIs.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: £40,000–£50,000 (or local currency equivalent)

Variable Commission: £15,000–£20,000

On-Target Earnings (OTE): £55,000–£65,000

Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, and location. This role may also be eligible for equity in the Company.
