About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the industrial and food processing equipment space, is seeking a Business Development Representative to support continued growth. This role is ideal for a sales-driven professional who enjoys prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and partnering closely with outside sales and internal operations teams.

Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new sales opportunities through market research and lead generationRe-engage existing and past leads to uncover new business opportunitiesQualify prospective accounts and initiate outbound contactMaintain and update CRM records (Salesforce preferred)Assist with the quotation process for capital equipment and full production linesAssemble customer proposals using standardized templates and project documentationCoordinate sales calendars, appointments, and project timelinesPartner closely with outside sales, service, and operations teamsRepresent the organization professionally in all customer interactionsQualificationsExperience working with multiple levels of management within mid‑to‑large organizationsPrior experience using a CRM system (Salesforce strongly preferred)Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with strong follow‑up and attention to detailSelf‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesMechanical aptitude or comfort working in technical/manufacturing environmentsProficiency in Microsoft Office toolsCompensation & Benefits70k base salaryPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysMedical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance401(k) with company matchTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral ProgramAdditional InformationMust be authorized to work in the United StatesThis search is being conducted on a confidential basisEmployer is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $33.65/hr.
