This position is responsible for outbound business development activities that support Siemens’ growth by generating top-of-funnel opportunities across digitally enabled services and solutions. With a strong focus on lead qualification and proactive outreach, the role is centered around identifying prospects, qualifying interest through high-volume outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn), and routing opportunities to the appropriate Siemens area or department. This role plays a vital part in fueling the sales pipeline and driving engagement for the Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Digital Services teams.
As a Business Development Representative, you will:
A Business Development Representative is an outbound role, meaning you are responsible for finding, contacting, and converting leads through your own efforts The BDR is responsible for prospecting for a designated territory and is responsible for creating quarterly plans to achieve quotas Daily activities include conducting prospect and account research, social media messaging, email messaging, and outbound calling Grow territory by adding new contacts and accounts using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Insights, etc. Complete tasks related to Outbound Lead Generation including conducting account research, prospect research, and reaching out to prospects via email, cold calls, and social media messaging Growing your network on LinkedIn and leveraging it to find and convert leads Working with Area Sales Managers on outbound strategies Inputting and updating data in SalesforceYou will make an impact with these qualifications:
Proven experience in fast-paced, high-activity environments — ideally in sales development, sales engineering, or tech/startup settings Comfortable with heavy outbound outreach: You’re energized by high call volumes, strategic follow-ups, and multi-channel prospecting Digitally fluent: You’re confident using CRM tools, LinkedIn, email outreach, and other digital platforms to identify and engage leads A proactive communicator who can quickly qualify interest, articulate value, and connect prospects to the right Siemens team Self-motivated and organized: You take ownership of your pipeline and thrive in a remote, performance-driven environment Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipYou’ll benefit from:
