Business Development Manager (Textiles)

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager in the apparel and custom tailoring industry.
Our client is an international apparel manufacturer expanding its presence across North America. With strong partnerships in the custom menswear and athleisure market, the company is committed to craftsmanship, efficiency, and long-term customer relationships. They value collaboration, global communication, and entrepreneurial problem-solving.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving market expansion, managing key customer relationships, and supporting the setup of Canadian operations.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
• Establish and develop business relationships with key North American apparel manufacturers
• Engage with independent tailor shops in Vancouver, Seattle, and additional North American markets
• Execute effective sales strategies to achieve assigned targets
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring exceptional service and communication
• Communicate issues, challenges, and updates to headquarters in Guangzhou, China
• Identify and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly
• Oversee the setup of the new Canadian office and manage all related company registration processes
The successful candidate has:
• Proven work experience in Sales or Corporate Buyer roles within leading North American companies such as Indochino or Lululemon
• Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to apply them strategically
• Experience working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent ability to meet deadlines
Compensation and Benefits
• Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission structure
• Comprehensive benefits package
• Remote but must be located in Vancouver, BC
