This is a strategic role, where you’ll work at the intersection of science, regulation, and market innovation.

YOUR MISSION
As Business Development Manager, you will develop new business and manage key accounts across the cosmetics and personal care value chain — from ingredient suppliers to brand owners and manufacturers.
Your goal: position the company as a key partner for testing, safety, and compliance, and expand its reach in the DACH region.
Core responsibilities:
Drive commercial growth in Germany and the wider DACH market Identify and pursue new business opportunities with R&D, Regulatory, Product Development, and Innovation teams Promote scientific services such as clinical studies, in vivo protocols, safety assessments, and regulatory consulting Build tailored solutions with the support of internal experts (scientists, toxicologists, project managers) Attend industry events, trade shows, and congresses to raise visibility and generate leads
YOUR PROFILE
You may come from:
A testing laboratory, CDMO, or regulatory service provider A cosmetic ingredients, raw materials or formulation supplier A regulatory, formulation, or quality role with direct client-facing responsibilitiesWe are looking for someone who:
Understands the realities of scientific testing, regulatory compliance, and R&D workflows Can speak confidently with technical decision-makers (e.g., regulatory managers, formulation experts, project leads) Is ready to lead a value-based, consultative sales approach — not product pushingRequirements:
Fluent German (C1 or higher) and professional English 3–5+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or client advisory in a regulated B2B context Understanding of at least one of the following: cosmetics formulation, efficacy testing, regulatory requirements, or clinical evaluation Based in Germany (ideally North), and available for regular travelBonus points if you have:
Experience working with clinical/in vivo studies (e.g., patch testing, SPF, anti-aging efficacy) Familiarity with cosmetic regulations (EU 1223/2009, ISO 24442, FDA, EMA)
