Business Development Manager - KVM/Control Room Solutions - Broadcast

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in the media and broadcast market.  This role will position Black Box as the premier provider of high-performance Control Room solutions, serving customers that require secure, real-time data access and decision-making are critical.

The ideal candidate combines fluency in KVM, AV, and Control Room architecture, with a consultative sales approach.  Leveraging Black Box’s portfolio of secure KVM switching, matrix KVM, KVM-over-IP, AV, and IoT distribution, this leader will expand our footprint with media/broadcast customers and their Systems Integrators—driving revenue, building market share, and establishing Black Box solutions as industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive new business and expand market share for high-performance KVM and AV solutions within the media/broadcast Control Room sector. Lead consultative, solution-based sales engagements that address customer pain points, ensuring secure, redundant, and high-availability system designs. Build strategic relationships with decision-makers (IT Directors, Engineers, Operations Managers, etc.), influencing procurement and technology adoption. Partner with Systems Integrators and internal engineering teams to ensure Black Box solutions are specified into large-scale broadcast environments. Position Black Box as the trusted authority in secure KVM and Control Room infrastructure through technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. Monitor and report on emerging industry trends (KVM, AV, Control Room modernization) to keep Black Box at the forefront of technology shifts. Maintain a high-visibility Salesforce pipeline, providing accurate forecasts, business reviews, and competitive intelligence. Represent Black Box at industry events and conferences, strengthening brand visibility and thought leadership. Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize revenue growth while ensuring compliance with customer procurement policies.

Qualifications: 

7–10 years of proven success in technical sales/business development within the media/broadcast sector, ideally focused on KVM, AV, or Control Room technology. Strong track record engaging with Systems Integrators and navigating complex broadcast procurement and deployment processes. Technical expertise in KVM and Control Room environments (matrix KVM, KVM-over-IP, secure switching, signal extension, video walls, multi-system workflows). Demonstrated ability to solution-sell, guiding customers through complex decisions and positioning enterprise-grade technology. Consistent record of driving profitable revenue growth and capturing market share. Highly motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable in a metrics-driven environment. Strong communicator with executive presence, able to engage CIOs, IT leaders, and technical stakeholders with equal credibility. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
