Iron Mountain’s Global Records and Information Management Organization (GRO) is a revenue-driving commercial organization that focuses on developing, selling, and supporting solutions for customers in our regions and key global vertical industries that enable them to transform their business.
Due to Iron Mountain’s continued growth on a global scale, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our growing Commercial team in Germany.
Job Summary
As a Business Development Manager for Germany, you will be a key driver of organic growth, exclusively focused on acquiring new, large enterprise customers within the Industrial, Manufacturing, Retail, Telecommunications and Pharmaceutical sectors. You will own the end-to-end new business sales cycle, from strategic prospecting to deal closure, ensuring Iron Mountain's solutions address complex client needs and contribute significantly to our revenue and margin growth.
Your Role in Our Mission
New Logo Acquisition: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure net new enterprise clients within the defined priority sectors in Germany.
Strategic Engagement: Build deep, consultative relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders to truly understand their organizational objectives and pain points.
Solution Design & Sale: Lead the development and sale of tailored Information Management solutions, translating complex customer requirements into compelling value propositions.
Pipeline & Forecasting: Maintain a robust and accurate sales pipeline, driving opportunities through negotiation and RFP processes to consistently meet and exceed new business quota.
Industry Expertise: Act as a trusted industry expert to customers, providing insights into sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams (e.g., Solutions, Operations, Legal) to ensure seamless solution delivery and customer success.
Valued Skills & Experience
New Business Hunter: Substantial direct sales experience with a proven track record of consistently acquiring new, large enterprise accounts within complex sales cycles.
Sector Specialization: Demonstrated experience in or selling services or solutions to clients within the Manufacturing, Industrial, Retail, Telecommunications, or Pharmaceutical sectors.
Solution Selling Expert: Strong background in strategic new business hunting, solution selling methodologies, and the ability to develop solutions mapping to intricate customer requirements.
C-Level Engagement: Proven ability to build and influence relationships with senior-level (C-suite) customer stakeholders.
Strategic Acumen: Capacity to think broadly, develop strategic account plans, and make decisions considering overall company impact.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional written, oral, and presentation skills, with a strong ability to influence and negotiate.
Collaboration: Proven ability to team effectively across all levels internally and externally within a diverse, multicultural environment.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in German (essential) and English (essential).
