Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and results-driven business development professional to join our high-performing team at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley. This full-time role is focused on growing the golf and sporting groups segment, with a competitive salary of up to $82,000 plus benefits on offer for the right candidate.

You’ll play a key role in positioning both Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat as premier destinations for group sporting and golf travel. This is a fantastic opportunity to blend your love for sport with your sales expertise in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Driving growth across the golf and sporting groups market through proactive sales activityDeveloping and executing sales strategies to increase group bookings and revenueManaging key accounts including sports clubs, leisure operators, schools, and associationsGenerating leads, creating proposals, and converting enquiries into confirmed businessRepresenting the resort and retreat at trade events, tournaments, and industry functionsCollaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of group experiencesCoordinating site inspections, familiarisations, and client meetingsTracking performance, managing CRM records, and reporting on key metrics

Qualifications3–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or the sporting industryStrong relationship-building skills and a proven track record of hitting targetsA strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to driving growthExcellent communication and presentation skillsA genuine passion for golf or sporting groups, and an understanding of this marketHighly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
