Job Title: Business Development Representative
Job Description

This role focuses on selling comprehensive construction and environmental health and safety (EH&S) services to new and existing customers. You will develop and manage a pipeline of multi-million dollar opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic outside sales activities. The position offers a commission-based structure with significant earning potential, along with support tools and a hybrid work model.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a business development strategy to sell construction and EH&S services to customers in target markets.Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities through outside sales activities, networking, and follow-up.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in manufacturing, construction, and EH&S-related industries.Lead the full sales cycle from initial contact and needs assessment through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.Structure deals that align customer needs with service offerings while ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements.Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and operations, to develop tailored solutions and support complex proposals.Use CRM systems to manage leads, track opportunities, maintain accurate records, and forecast sales performance.Regularly visit client sites to understand their operations, present solutions, and strengthen long-term partnerships.Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and refine sales approaches.Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and key performance metrics.Provide timely updates, reports, and insights on sales activities and pipeline status to leadership.Essential Skills3 to 5 years of experience in an outside sales role.Proven experience selling services or solutions in a business-to-business environment.Background in manufacturing, construction, or environmental health and safety (EH&S) is highly preferred.Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of deal structures and revenue models.Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.Experience working with CRM systems to track and manage sales activities and pipeline.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.Comfort with traveling to client sites as part of regular sales activities.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a field-based role.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience selling construction services or EH&S solutions is a strong advantage.Familiarity with engineering-driven projects and multi-million dollar deal structures.Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and engineering teams.Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple opportunities simultaneously.Proficiency in using digital tools and software to support sales activities and reporting.Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid work environment that combines in-office collaboration with field-based client engagement. You will split your time between working from the office and traveling to client sites, particularly within manufacturing, construction, and EH&S-related settings. The position is commission-based with the potential to earn significant income from multi-million dollar deals, and it includes a gas card to support travel requirements. You will use CRM systems and other digital tools daily to manage your pipeline and reporting, and you will frequently interact with internal teams such as engineering and operations to support complex sales opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
