Description
We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will drive growth by identifying large-scale infrastructure opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships, and positioning the company as a trusted partner in the construction services industry. This is a pivotal position that requires innovation, relationship-building, and a deep understanding of market trends.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue high-value dirt work and infrastructure projects, focusing on opportunities that are not widely publicized.
• Develop a strong pipeline of future projects by proactively engaging with industry leaders and gathering market intelligence.
• Utilize existing industry relationships and networks to gain early access to opportunities and secure warm introductions.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with general contractors, engineering firms, and municipal leaders.
• Position the organization as a preferred partner for Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Time & Material contracts.
• Create and manage a detailed 12–24 month forecast of projects that align with company growth objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and project execution.
• Represent the company at industry events and meetings to enhance visibility and strengthen partnerships.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within the construction or related industries.
• Proven success in securing large-scale, multi-year projects and building long-term strategic relationships.
• Extensive and active network in the construction services sector, including connections with contractors, engineers, municipal leaders, and suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of construction services, environmental compliance, and related industry standards.
• Exceptional skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Ability to travel regionally to attend meetings and industry events as required.
• Proficiency in financial processes such as month-end close, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
• Experience with journal entries and financial statement audits.
