Airswift is partnering up with a major Irish company that is currently expanding to the USA. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to work in Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Lead generation and prospecting. Identifying and creating new business opportunities with potential customers. Driving sales through links with industry partners, utilities, and participating resellers. Carrying out preliminary assessment of sites for their Demand Response and/or Generation potential. Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and sales contracts. Closing sales and achieving sales targets. Accurately reporting on sales progress. Developing and maintaining consultative relationships with client base. Participating in seminars, trade shows, and other suitable marketing opportunities.Essential Requirements
A strong background in energy sales, and a demonstrable history of success in technical sales roles. Deep knowledge of ERCOT energy, ancillary services, QSE services, ERS, and utility demand response programs. 8+ years’ experience in the relevant sector, ideally demand response, electrical systems, and/or power generation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills – demonstrable relationship-building experience among a range of stakeholders. Strong quantitative and analytical capability, both technical and commercial. Professionalism – articulate, innovative, and client-service oriented. Self-motivated individual with integrity and the ability to be office-based and to work remotely. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ambition to develop as a market-leading sales professional. Existing relationships with Texas-based industrial and commercial consumers, utilities, and generation owners. Knowledge of the electricity supply industry, energy consumption, and efficiency measures.Desirable
Knowledge of other North American ISOs, i.e., PJM, MISO, and relevant programs in those markets. Degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering concentration. Ability to onboard at VIOTAS in a timely manner. Limited or no restrictions on prior customer engagement.
