Barco is looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to focus on the Pathology segment within our Diagnostic Imaging business in Europe.
You will be responsible for developing business with pathology laboratories, large lab networks and specialized diagnostic centers. As a key ambassador of Barco’s healthcare solutions, you will build strong relationships with end users and drive new business opportunities across the region.
Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with pathology labs, lab chains, and diagnostic centers across Europe. Promote Barco’s software and AI-driven solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and image quality in digital pathology. Understand and communicate the value of software products that bridge the gap between scanning and reading. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and close deals independently. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, especially those familiar with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Inspire positive customer experiences, product adoption, and high service responsiveness. Travel frequently across Europe to present Barco’s pathology solutions.
Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in healthcare IT, digital pathology, or software solutions. Proven ability to develop new business and close complex deals. Strong understanding of software sales and ideally some exposure to AI applications in healthcare. Background in or affinity with pathology is a strong plus. Experience with LIS, medical imaging software, or similar systems is highly valued. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. A true hunter mindset with a passion for building relationships and driving growth. Comfortable working independently and managing a diverse pipeline. Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in French or other European languages is a strong asset. Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe.
