Business Development Manager

The PTE Business Development Manager ANZ, English Language Learning, will work with the Director, Asia Pacific, to implement a growth strategy for PTE Academic in ANZ to maintain it’s reputation as the test of choice for international students, workers and migrants nationally. This role will involve ensuring key growth metrics & KPIs are achieved, and take a key role in managing internal and external stakeholder groups.

Reporting into the Director, Asia Pacific, this position will:  

Drive domestic sales of PTE Academic through building advocacy from key stakeholder groups across the international education and migration segments; ensuring sales targets and other growth KPIs are met Represent Pearson at key industry events and ensure PTE Academic maintains the highest levels of credibility Develop and manage strategic national partnerships and negotiate commercial deals with stakeholders including education and migration agents, commercial and academic language/test prep providers and others.   

Success will be measured by the achievement of annual sales targets and other KPIs, with evidence of regular monitoring and review and reporting progress to management.  

A successful applicant needs to be able to work independently, while maintaining close alignment/relations with other key business functions such as marketing, to achieve key objectives on a national level, as well as collaborating with Pearson colleagues around the globe.

Contribute to expanding brand and product awareness among customers and key external stakeholders.  Support the implementation of communications plans to increase awareness of PTE Academic 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: 

7 years+ experience working in international education/international student recruitment/TEFL and with associated stakeholder groups such as government, education/migration agents, language schools, universities etc     Ability to think strategically, plan and execute, with evidence of successful business growth.     Significant evidence of success in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships leading to commercial opportunities, particularly in the education sector.     Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to a range of different audiences. Highly developed oral, written and presentation skills.      Influencing skills and the ability to convince through personal credibility
