If you are a business development professional, **Emerson Power and Water Solutions (PWS)** has an exciting opportunity for you!
As part of the PWS Marketing team, you will identify and build relationships with new customers in the water industry, including EPCs and developers, and match them with the right solutions from our portfolio to deliver differentiated value. You will also drive incremental business growth by creating new pursuit strategies in partnership with the sales team.

Position can be located in the following locations: Cranberry Township, PA; Novi, MI; San Diego, CA; Riverside, CA; or Blue Bell, PA.
**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Gaining an understanding of the global water market, Emerson install base and key customers and EPCs that are present in that market
+ Developing a global strategy to increase our business within the water industry, targeting specific applications where the Ovation portfolio would bring a differentiation to customers
+ Acting as Water Business leader to drive the strategy deployment and support all World Areas to implement the strategy
+ Becoming a Subject Matter Expert for the water market and Emerson's solutions dedicated to water applications and driving the sales force with technical and demand creation expertise, supporting and qualifying new project opportunities
+ Staying current on industry trends and developments, targeting key customers to expand the existing install base and key projects
+ Identifying target applications, competitors, and/or customers in which Emerson controls are particularly suited
+ Collaborating with Lifecycle Services Organization to understand potential opportunities to modernize and expand the Ovation install base for Water industry customers
+ Collaborating with the Marketing communications team to develop product literature, presentations, and other media to support modernization solutions messaging
+ Gathering 'voice of the customer' feedback and market information to drive future product enhancements, and participating in key user events from Water industry
+ Coordinating with other Emerson business groups to identify potential synergies and pull through
+ Coordinating with and driving the sales force as needed to promote Emerson's solutions
+ Supporting the executive team with key program updates and case studies for portfolio enhancement.

You use serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You use customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings. You are capable to be a visionary and able to articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods. You adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse customers.
**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ Minimum of 5 years of related experience in DCS solutions, sales, projects, operations, or product development.
+ Direct experience in customer-facing roles, program deployment, and product management
+ Demonstrated experience promoting and presenting products and solutions directly to end users
+ Ability to travel 25-35% of the time

**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or other STEM related field.
+ Demonstrated experience promoting and presenting products and solutions directly to end users
+ First-hand experience in water operations and control
+ Ability to anticipate customers’ needs, find creative solutions, and align internal and external partners for successful project delivery.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is **$140,000 to $170,000 annually,** plus benefits and bonus, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
