Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Manager – EPC to lead business development and prospecting efforts with EPC accounts, focusing on mining and steel industry projects. This strategic role aims to expand Rockwell Automation’s opportunity pipeline by technically and commercially influencing companies involved in feasibility studies and engineering of large-scale industrial projects. The position is based in Belo Horizonte – MG, with direct client engagement.
Your Responsibilities:
Identify and prospect new projects within EPC accounts, primarily supporting mining clients.
Regularly visit EPC accounts to map future opportunities and position Rockwell Automation’s portfolio in the early stages of project development.
Map large-scale projects in their initial phases, ensuring early engagement in strategic opportunities.
Actively influence engineering and EPC firms in defining technical requirements and project assumptions.
Collaborate with Rockwell’s key Business Units to ensure full coverage of our solutions: ITD (Intelligent Devices), S&C (Software & Control), and LCS (Lifecycle Services).
Work towards defined goals and results, focusing on demand generation and pipeline expansion.
Maintain close relationships with clients, spending approximately 70% of the time in face-to-face meetings.
Manage the full opportunity ecosystem, involving business units and market access channels to maximize commercial impact.
Align internally and with business partners to define the best strategy for each opportunity, in a collaborative and results-driven manner.
The Essentials – You Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (automation, electrical, or related disciplines).
Proven experience serving mining companies (steel industry experience is a plus).
Familiarity with EPC accounts and a solid understanding of the industrial project lifecycle.
Strong technical background, with the ability to communicate technical concepts and present automation and electrical solutions.
Commercial mindset with experience in consultative sales and demand generation.
Availability to work on-site with clients, primarily in Belo Horizonte and surrounding areas.
Ability to work independently, with a strong focus on results and customer relationships.
