The Business Development Liaison will serve as a strategic ambassador between ChristianaCare and referring providers to drive patient volume, strengthen physician/provider relationships, and support service line growth. You will be responsible for identifying, cultivating new relationships, and maintaining referral partnerships across the continuum of care, with a focus on enhancing access, improving communication, and supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze referral patterns, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform outreach strategies. Develop and implement targeted engagement plans aligned with service line priorities and organizational growth goals.

Proactively engage with community physicians, advanced practice providers, and practice managers to build and sustain strong referral relationships. Identify ways to boost referrals and improve provider satisfaction through consistent outreach and feedback loops.

Craft and deliver compelling value propositions tailored to provider needs, highlighting clinical excellence, access enhancements, and patient experience improvements. Serve as a knowledgeable resource on system capabilities and differentiators.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of outreach activities, provider feedback, and referral trends in CRM systems. Develop reports to monitor performance metrics, identify gaps, and assist with planning.

Partner with service line leaders, marketing, access teams, and clinical operations to address provider concerns, streamline referral processes, and remove barriers to care.

Participate in internal meetings to represent physician liaison insights and priorities.

Represent ChristianaCare at professional events, medical society meetings, and community functions to enhance visibility and foster relationships. Coordinate and support physician engagement events and educational programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

Existing employer, broker, and consultant relationship within defined market is a requirement.

Experience with using/managing CRM software

Proven success, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience, in a B2B sales experience, including direct account management; experience in employee benefits, TPAs, and/or Direct-to-Employer contracting required

Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful/trusting relationships and build influential and constructive collaborations with business leaders and community that drive business results

Understanding of current healthcare and insurance trends on the local and national landscape, including value-based care/population health
