About the role

AsBusiness Development Executiveat Hyatt House South Melbourne, you will be responsible for driving new corporate and group business while building long-term client relationships.Working closely with the Director of Sales, Sales Managerand internal stakeholders, this role focuses on proactive account development, lead conversion, and market engagement.

Manage the full sales cycle for new corporate and group clients, from initial contact through to deal closure

Respond promptly and accurately to enquiries relating to corporate room blocks and group bookings

Negotiate rates, prepare proposals, and issue quotes within required timeframes

Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and professional conference organisers

Conduct hotel site inspections and client tours aligned with brand standards

Track sales performance and market activity, including competitor analysis

Collaborate with marketing to support lead generation and campaign effectiveness

Provide insights into market trends, opportunities, and sales strategies

Previous experience in hotel sales, business development, or a related commercial role

Understanding the hospitality industry, including market trends, competitor activities, and client needs

Confidence presenting to clients and conducting site inspections

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Commercial awareness with attention to detail and follow-through

Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively

Right to work in Australia
