Job Description:

The successful candidate will work effectively with the Vice President, Business Development, Maritime Sector and Vice President/General Manager Undersea Systems as well as government relations, technical, and functional entities for the purpose of achieving financial goals by engaging customers, identifying potential business opportunities, and supporting corporate and segment strategic growth activities. This position will be supporting the Undersea Systems Division of the Maritime Sector, leading multiple growth campaigns, specifically to protect and expand upon current and future maritime undersea-based franchises.

Lead initiatives associated with all new business growth areas in the Undersea Systems DivisionSupport USS Division objectives and participate as an active member of Division team.  Serve as liaison to Sector growth initiatives representing Undersea Systems interestsIdentify new and adjacent markets, unmet customer needs and opportunities to expand existing programs/productsAllocate and recommend discretionary resources as needed to shape and win opportunities and achieve financial goalsPrioritize campaign engagements leveraging Senior Management participationSupport collection of competitive intelligence and information to enhance L3Harris understanding of customers and competitor strategiesWork jointly with Corporate Government Relations team on Congressional Strategic inputsCreate and foster a business acumen culture that embraces a strategic, proactive approach to support business area leaders with identifying, actively pursuing and closing new businessAssist capture teams with preparation of competitive assessments and win strategy developmentRepresent L3Harris Corporation at customer meetings, Industry related meetings and conferencesCollaborate with BD teammates including marketing communications, business development leaders, and capture teamsSupport new opportunity qualification process including “connect-the-dots” across other L3Harris segments/sectors/divisions to ensure we provide best value to customersUnderstand and influence sector/division strategies with customer perspectivesEmbrace a culture of “continuous learning” to improve our understanding of the technical drivers our existing and potential new customers seek to improve their mission capabilitiesEffectively translate technical understanding of our products and technology for purposes of customer communication and engagementEstimate and manage new business funds used to pursue new business opportunities.Participate in strategic planning for internal research and developmentExecute campaign strategies supporting business capture planningLead / support business acquisition process milestone/gate reviews; to include opportunity identification, qualification, pursuit, pre-proposal, and proposal processesManage the Undersea Systems Division’s opportunity pipelineAct as a change agent for the business, ensuring strategies and campaigns are mission and customer focusedOrganize participation in forums/conferences to further position L3Harris as a thought leader in the space and intelligence industry related to specific strategic opportunitiesManage people, their work products, and professional development with the end state of new business growth for the sector/division.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 15 years of experience or post graduate degree and 13 years of experience in the business development arena.Active SECRET Security Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Security ClearanceExperience leading new business captureEstablished contacts within Navy and Undersea CommunitiesUnderstanding and familiarity with Navy and Undersea marketsDemonstrated ability in competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, proposal and color team leadership and price-to win analysis

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $171,500-318,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
