Business Development Director

Job Description

Overview         

The Business Development Director will lead strategic growth initiatives, manage key client relationships, and expand AtkinsRéalis Korea’s footprint within South Korea and collaboration with global experts across world, with a strong focus on Advanced Technology (Semi-conductor, Data Center, Secondary Batteries, Advanced Materials etc.) and Renewable Energy (solar, on/offshore wind, energy storage systems, green hydrogen, battery value‑chain projects, and broader energy‑transition technologies, etc.) markets.
The role requires deep industry knowledge, an established professional network, and a passionate, proactive mindset capable of driving high‑value opportunities from identification to closure. This position collaborates closely with Project Engineering Directors, Project and Construction Management Director, Project Management Group and the Director, South Korea to translate client needs into winning solutions and support the development of high‑impact strategies.

Your role

Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement.Conduct detailed market and competitive analysis.Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, their local operations footprint, their growth mission, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients.Possess a good understanding of our services, our competition in the industry and positioningBuild and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders.Providing feedback of potential customers and members to enhance service delivery.Monitoring and reporting the potential collaborators and competitor activities and identifying business threats and opportunities.Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.Able to communicate complicated technical issues, with effective presentation skills.Participate and/or lead proposal preparation.Participate in the negotiating the agreement terms and closing sales.Meet deadlines along with working under pressure.

About youBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with 15+ years of business development experience.Possess a good understanding of our services, our competition in the industry and positioning.Overseas experience is an asset.Ability to bring in new business.Proven ability to originate and close complex opportunities.Strong client relationship skills.Korean Native language and Fluent in English (speaking, listening and writing skills) as a asset.Availability to travel.Strong communication skills with external and internal stakeholders. Rewards & benefits
