Business Coordinator – Beijing, China
Airswift is seeking a Business Coordinator to work on a permanent assignment in Beijing, China with a major LNG Company.
Brief Job Overview
This person will liaise and coordinates between company and Chinese LNG Buyers to ensure efficient communication of commercial matters stipulated in the LNG Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPAs). Provides company Commercial & Shipping with market intelligence and other relevant information on a regular basis.
Other duties may include to address urgent issues (normally during company off hours due to time difference) within specified limits of authority in relation to representing company from afar with our Chinese LNG Buyers. Lengthy after office hour’s consultation contacts with Buyers in accordance with Chinese Protocols.
Job Responsibilities Liaise Seller’s message (supply situation) to Buyers and report the Buyers’ requirements and messages to C&S with emphasis on protecting company’s position by attending the ADP meetings. Convey the draft 90 Day Schedule to the Buyers, obtains comments/confirmation on the draft from the Buyers and conveys them to C&S until both parties reach an agreement. Exchanges key information regarding the Standard Cargo Content (SCC) and coordinates with Buyers. Communicates and coordinates with C&S to implement regular liaison matters, such as; adjustment of ETA changes with Buyer, and liaising for Master SPAs with each Buyer. Coordinates with the Buyer and C&S to clarify and resolve the matter in accordance with the SPA Implementation Procedures and local business practice. Liaises regarding LNG sales promotion for C&S to SE Asian Buyers such as the new long term and short term LNG sales contract, Master Agreement, and spot cargo deliveries, through close communication with C&S and Chinese Buyers, and support C&S for the LNG promotion activities in China. Coordinates and arranges meetings for C&S members with Buyers, supports logistics for C&S visitors and acts as interpreter and translator for company when necessary. Coordinates with Buyer to confirm the LNG monthly price, in accordance with the SPA. Coordinates with the Buyers to make arrangement for the Technical Meetings (if required) attends the meetings, and follows up actions from the meetings. Conveys market intelligence and provide business studies/reports to Commercial and Shipping Department as required. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Engineering. 6 years’ experience in commercial/technical coordination within the oil & gas or shipping industry. A comprehensive knowledge of Chinese business practice, culture and protocol, particularly on Chinese Utilities and governmental bodies. Knowledge of LNG cargo scheduling, Plant Processes and Commercial Processes is required. Fluent Chinese & English to coordinate between company and Chinese Buyers. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Computer literacy (MS Office). Ability to communicate to all levels. Summary on Airswift
