Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Specialist

Position Title: -Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Specialist 

Position Location: Can be remote

Provide locations/flexible work by preference: See above

Ability to work remote (If so, there will need additional approvals) : Yes

Acceptable time zone(s): Some flexibility by time zone

Days of the week: Position may require 24 hr coverage within the week, could be flexible.
Working Hours: Mid and overnight 3pm-8am EST (within those hours)
Intended length of Assignment: 6mos

Team Dynamic: Very outgoing communication with each other, turnovers from one shift be able to communicate what occurred during their shift and be able to communicate to stakeholders (liaison between team and the rest of the business)

Roles and Responsibilities: Disaster recovery response, response to major disaster events Oversees testing, emergency response, and recovery. Guides the selection of operating strategies for the continuation of the business within a recovery time objective. Supports business recovery, crisis management, emergency management, contingency planning and disaster-preparedness planning. Provides support and expertise during live events. Conducts, communicates, and maintains business continuity lifecycle. Monitors and reports on the compliance of business continuity processes, readiness, events and exercise results. Supports businesses in relationships with audit and government regulators on business continuity issues. Develops, enhances and disseminates information on continuity processes, standards and initiatives. Provides support for the development and delivery of training on business continuity Act as liaison between team and rest of business to communicate disruption response


Must Have Technical Skills: Crisis management, Incident response, event response Enterprise experience Business Resiliency/Continuity experience Highly proficient in Excel Proficient in PowerPoint, SharePoint (Microsoft Office Suite) Adherence to internal risks and controls Experience with Regulatory and/or Audit exams ServiceNow Experience with technology risk within Financial institutions

Flex Skills/Nice to Have: Crisis Management Application (Everbridge, Visual Command Center (VCC), and VEOCI) Proficient in Tableau Experience with Fusion Risk Management (BCH Business Continuity Hub) Analytical background Experience with KY3P (know your third party) CBCP certification/DRI cert

High level critical thinking skills/common sense (fast paced)
