Job Description:

Role Summary

The Finance organization at HPE is undergoing a multi‑year strategic transformation that spans global processes, systems modernization, AI‑driven capabilities, and new operating models. Many of these initiatives require coordinated change adoption not only inside Finance, but as well as Business Units and Global Functions impacted by Finance‑led transformation.

The Business Change Manager will establish and lead the change management discipline for Finance & Strategy. This role ensures that the organization successfully adopts major business, process, and technology changes by applying structured change methodologies, driving stakeholder alignment, and executing high‑quality communication and enablement plans. This leader will work as an enterprise connector — influencing adoption well beyond Finance and into the broader HPE ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Change Strategy & Governance

Develop and maintain a Finance & Strategy Change Management Framework aligned with enterprise transformation standards.

Partner with the Strategic Transformation Office, PMO, and Finance LT to embed consistent change governance across initiatives.

Implement rigor in readiness assessments, risk mitigation, and adoption KPIs to ensure durability of outcomes.

2. Enterprise Stakeholder Engagement

Map and manage stakeholders across Finance, BUs, Supply Chain, Sales Ops, HR, IT, and other Functions.

Build trust and influence senior leaders to drive alignment on change impacts, timelines, and accountability.

Lead cross‑functional change networks or champions groups to enable widespread adoption.

3. Program Change Leadership

Serve as the primary Change Lead for key strategic programs (e.g., process re‑design, system modernization, data & AI initiatives).

Develop integrated change plans:

impact assessments

leadership engagement plans

communication strategies

end‑user enablement and training

adoption measurement & feedback loops

Co‑create solutions with program owners to reduce resistance and accelerate adoption.

4. Communications & Training

Partner with Comms, HR, and Learning teams to produce high‑quality, targeted communication materials.

Establish Finance‑wide training and upskilling approaches for new processes, tools, and capabilities (AI, digital, policy changes, etc.).

5. Metrics & Change Analytics

Define adoption KPIs and dashboards for leadership review.

Monitor readiness, sentiment, and adoption progress — and drive corrective actions where gaps exist.

Formalize mechanisms to embed changes sustainably into policies, governance, and processes.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of change management or transformation leadership experience in a complex, global organization.

Strong knowledge of change frameworks (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, enterprise transformation).

Demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels without direct authority.

Experience leading change across multiple functions, not only within Finance.

Strong strategic communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into simple narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience driving change for Finance transformations (systems, process redesign, AI/digital initiatives).

Prosci or similar change methodology certification.

Consulting background or PMO experience in global transformation programs.

Experience at HPE or similar matrixed tech companies.

Key Competencies

Executive Presence – Engages and influences senior leaders effectively.

Strategic Thinking – Sees implications beyond Finance and considers enterprise impacts.

Rigor & Structure – Instills process discipline and repeatability in change execution.

Stakeholder Partnership – Builds trusted relationships across BUs and Functions.

Agility – Navigates ambiguity in fast‑moving transformation environments.

Empathy & Coaching – Supports teams through change with credibility and care.
