Job Description PAY RATE RANGE 20-25/hr. Day-To-Day A client of Insight Global is looking for a Business Case & Project Analyst to join the intake team of a global manufacturing company. This individual will be responsible for building the initial time and cost estimates that go into business cases for IT and capital projects. They will investigate which roles and tasks are required, estimate the hours involved, and validate assumptions against historical data (such as time-tracking systems). Once draft estimates are prepared, they will work with IT subject matter experts and stakeholders to confirm accuracy. In addition, this person will support the financial side of business case development—helping requestors model ROI, run scenarios, and ensure the business case reflects accurate cost/benefit assumptions. For capital projects, this includes additional rigor in modeling project timelines, start/end dates, and capital spend forecasts. The reports and models created will feed into intake and approval processes and provide executives with confidence in the quality of business cases. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in gathering data from diverse sources. They should have advanced Excel skills, strong financial/business acumen, and excellent communication skills to bridge between data, stakeholders, and decision makers. Skills and Requirements Must Haves: • 3+ years of experience as a project analyst, business analyst, or data analyst supporting business case development or financial modeling • Strong analytical skills with experience building effort/time/resource estimates for projects, preferably validating against historical data • Hands-on expertise in Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, and scenario modeling • Experience gathering, validating, and synthesizing data from multiple stakeholders and systems (e.g., time tracking, project management tools, financial systems) • Familiarity with ROI calculations, financial modeling, and business case preparation (operational and capital projects) • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across IT, Finance, and business stakeholders, and to present/defend assumptions with supporting data • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously with minimal supervision
