Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR Six years of experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement; OR An advanced degree plus two years of experience in accounting, budgeting, contracts, economics, engineering, finance, financial auditing, grants, human resources, information technology, management analysis, operational auditing, policy planning, procurement, social services, statistical analysis, tax collections, or tax enforcement. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Leads the strategic planning process and develops long-term initiatives and objectives for the Office of State Parks + Establish metrics and benchmarks to evaluate the effectiveness of strategic plans and priorities + Conduct comprehensive evaluations of ongoing functions to ensure State Parks meets its stated goals + Directs studies of internal control systems, and impacts of State Parks and all programs. + Collaborate with management to align strategic initiatives, processes and tourism goals with operational activities + Schedule and manage community outreach activities, as necessary. + Develop and implement brand strategies for the Office of State Parks to advance agency priorities, increase brand awareness, and deploy strategic campaigns to ensure adherence to brand standards across the Office of State Parks + Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and state parks partners. + Monitor advertising agency and vendor contracts and ensure deliverables align with expectations and are executed in a timely manner + Collaborate closely with advertising, sales, communications, and administration teams to ensure alignment of brand strategies with agency goals + Represents Executive Management by attending meetings with tourism industry partners and stakeholders + Designs, develops, and manages systems for procuring and overseeing contracts related to externally provided customer service training, ensuring alignment with agency standards and goals. + Administers leadership and management development programs aimed at preparing employees for supervisory and leadership roles. + Researches and identifies job-specific traits to aid the department in attracting top talent.
