The Business Analyst plays a key role in driving data-based decision-making across the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC). This role combines business insight, analytical expertise, and digital fluency to improve efficiency, reliability, and profitability of ISC operations. Acting as a bridge between business users and analytics teams, you will transform data into actionable insights that enable more informed, quicker, and more balanced decisions across the global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business and Data Analysis
Collect, organize, and analyse data to evaluate process efficiency, reliability, and profitability.Identify root causes of business and process issues, ensuring data quality and actionable insights.Partner with collaborators to translate business needs into clear reporting and analytics requirements.2. Reporting and Visualization
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear, accurate business insights.Ensure data visualizations align with business objectives and support operational decision-making.Collaborate with teams from multiple functions to harmonize performance metrics and reporting standards.3. Business Application Ownership
Act as Business Application Owner for assigned analytics and reporting tools within Operations.Ensure system availability, user support, and appropriate maintenance for analysis applications.Partner with IT and business teams to enhance functionality and drive continuous improvement.4. Process Improvement and Project Leadership
Lead or support improvement initiatives involving multiple ISC functions.Use data-driven insights to find opportunities for optimization, automation, and standardization.Drive adoption of analytics tools and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.7+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or operations within a global supply chain.Strong analytical and statistical skills; proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Power BI.Experience working with relational databases and transforming complex data into clear insights.Knowledge of advanced analytics, data modelling, AI/ ML, predictive analytics and methods.Demonstrable skill in interpreting trends, communicating findings, and influencing decisions at all levels.Good communication and storytelling skills, with a focus on clarity and impact.Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Demonstrates Thermo Fisher’s 4-I values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.Willingness to travel up to 25%, including internationally.Strengths
