Position Summary:
The Transportation Fleet Maintenance Team supports the efficient and effective movement of freight throughout CTC’s delivery network. This support is provided in a number of forms, including; maintaining equipment, licensing, procuring equipment, maintain relationships with 3rd party providers and analyzing the total cost of ownership for the fleet of tractors and rolling stock. The team works closely with the Canadian Dispatch and Carrier Support Team, Fleet Services, and third party vendors and suppliers, but also has frequent involvement with Planning, Logistics, Distribution, International Transportation, Finance and IT.
What you’ll do:
+ Perform in depth analysis of data and develop viable conclusions within the framework of the project.
+ Obtain project relevant information from internal and external sources.
+ Present findings to leadership.
+ Document processes and assist in developing training material.
+ Run and validate reports to gather repair cost and total cost data from various sources.
What you’ve done:
+ Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
+ Strong Microsoft Office skills; Excel and Microsoft Access skills are required
+ Ability to analyze data, create reports and present findings
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to interact with various levels of the organization
+ Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
+ Ability to work both independently and within a group
