The First Line Support (FLS) EXE group plays a crucial role in supporting ASML’s factories and global installations. As the team grows and workload forecasts become more ambitious, strategic workforce planning becomes essential. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to that strategy by developing a robust staffing model. The model will help ensure smooth operations across shifts, competences, and geographies, and will be used immediately by the team. You’ll work closely with stakeholders from various layers of the organization, making this a highly applied and visible assignment.
You will develop a scalable and theoretically sound staffing model for the FLS EXE group. This model will be used as a strategic tool to support workforce planning in the coming years.

Are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldHave strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel, Python, PowerBI are a plus)Are interested in operations and workforce planning within a high-tech environmentHave a structured and proactive approach to problem-solvingPossess excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalThis is a (thesis) internship for a minimum of 5 months, 4–5 days per week (minimum 3 days on-site). The start date is February 2026 (earlier start possible).
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be able to perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
