Hiring for a Business Analyst – (Insurance) for one of the leading InsurTech platform provider, Life and Health Insurances.

Title / Designation: Business Analyst - Insurance Reporting Manager: CTO Location: Pune & Mumbai Work Mode: Work From Office

 

Role & responsibilities:

 

Lead business process analysis efforts within the insurance domain, understanding complex business processes, identifying pain points, and uncovering opportunities for improvement which can be augmented by a digital workforce. Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders across various departments (e.g., underwriting, claims, actuarial, marketing). Translate business needs into clear and concise data science problem statements. Work with designers to execute data analysis and modelling projects to address specific business challenges. Develop and implement statistical analyses, and self-learning / tuning algorithms to generate actionable insights. Utilize a variety of data mining and data analysis techniques to extract valuable information for fine tuning large language models. Evaluate agent performance and iterate to improve accuracy and effectiveness. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data engineers to ensure successful implementation and adoption of data-driven solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends, particularly in insurance technology, data science methodologies, and regulatory requirements. Understanding of data governance and data privacy laws to contribute to the development of data governance policies and best practices. Mentor and guide junior analysts and data scientists within the team. Drive the adoption of a data-driven culture within the organization.

 

Candidate requirements:

 

10+ years of progressive experience in a combination of business analysis and data science roles and Data Scientist role in Insurance Industries. Proven ability to apply data science techniques to solve real-world business problems within the insurance sector (e.g., fraud detection, risk assessment, claim processing). Must have understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulatory landscape. Excellent business acumen and the ability to understand and articulate business needs. Knowledge of data science tools and programming languages such as Python. Experience with SQL and data manipulation in relational databases. Good to have - Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Excellent data visualization skills and capability to guide creation of appropriate visualisation to provide business value. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
