As a Business Analyst within the Commercial and Finance domain, you will be a key enabler of data-driven decision-making. You will bridge the gap between business teams, data engineering, and data science, ensuring that analytics initiatives translate into measurable business value. Your primary focus will be on leveraging the organization’s data lake and analytics platforms to define analytical requirements, validate data quality, and deliver actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and validate functional requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement effective IT solutions that support Supply Chain operations.
Documentation: Develop clear and comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) outlining business needs, solution scope, and measurable impact (e.g., ROI, efficiency improvements).
Analytics & Visualization: Design, test, and enhance dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI) that transform complex data into intuitive, actionable insights.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications, data models, and technical designs.
Data Validation: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data sources and analytical outputs.
Communication & Reporting: Communicate project progress, key findings, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Project Support: Contribute to project planning, prioritization, and execution across analytics initiatives.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience
6-8 years demonstrated ability as business/data analyst in commercial and/or finance domain
Knowledge within financial domain highly preferred (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, pricing management)
Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing robust analytical solutions, reports, and dashboards.
Good ability to perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies and translate business problems into testable hypotheses and analytical solutions.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, MS Excel).
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel 10-20%
