Overview

Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) is hiring a Testing & Validation Senior Analyst to join our 1st line transaction testing function. As a Testing & Validation Senior Analyst you will play a pivotal role in helping to establish a sustainable and repeatable transaction testing function to help ensure the Bank’s regulatory reporting is based on strong data quality in financial transactions and adheres to report instructions.

Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans on large datasets of the Bank’s financial transactions included in regulatory reports. Analyze the Bank’s financial transactions to identify potential anomalies or data quality issues and define the sample for review. Verify completeness of the Bank’s financial transactions included in regulatory reports to points of origin. Review and understand data lineage and logic used in reporting the Bank’s data at a transactional and/or aggregate level and confirm adherence to regulatory report instructions.Demonstrate an understanding of the Bank’s data and fulfill the ongoing data needs of the transaction testing function. Discuss transaction testing results clearly and succinctly with key stakeholders.Compile testing results in accordance with ED&A procedures. Stay abreast of changes in banking regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., FDIC, FRB, FFIEC) to ensure transaction testing aligns with current regulations, industry standards, emerging trends, and overall leading practices.Work independently and collectively with peers. Display critical thought, attention to detail, and a natural curiosity to help drive solutions and create value-add transaction testing results.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 8 years of experience performing data analysis in one or more of the following areas within the Banking or Financial Services Industries: Loan File Reviews, Regulatory Reporting, Audit, Compliance. Demonstrate data analytics experience in projects/initiatives with a high complexity, from initial extraction to final results, using SQL and Python.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to document the work performed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex scenarios and ideas clearly and succinctly.Effectively manage multiple priorities and ability to adapt to change.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in transaction testing of retail and/or commercial loans and familiarity with regulatory reporting (FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, FR 2052a) is preferred.Working knowledge of data governance, data related risks and controls, and risk management principles.Understanding of financial products (e.g., deposits, loans, securities, etc.).
