Business Analyst II (Remote)

Akima Systems Engineering is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to conduct thorough data analysis, and facilitate effective communication. Responsible for translating business needs into actionable plans, streamlining processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic solutions aligning with organizational goals.
This is a Remote position working from home with some travel.
**Responsibilities**
+ Analyzes business operations requirements.
+ Assesses current practices, collects information and analyzes industry trends to determine program objectives.
+ Designs new projects/programs by analyzing customer's requirements and makes recommendations to improve systems.
+ Prepares technical reports and summarizes information and trends.
+ Performs work under general supervision.
+ Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
+ Collaborates with Project Management team to gather and document business requirements, ensuring clarity and understanding.
+ Develop, maintain, and submit Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to the Customer.
+ Assist in the development of quarterly workbooks and presentations to support Program Management Reviews.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years of experience in the field of business analysis (Total of 8 years field experience in lieu of degree).
+ Clearance: Must have a DoD Secret clearance or a recently granted Interim Secret clearance.
+ Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive meaningful insights to support decision-making and problem-solving.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, convey technical information clearly and create comprehensive documentation.
+ Understanding of business processes, workflows, and industry-specific knowledge to align solutions with organizational goals and strategies.
+ Capability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and propose innovative solutions to address business challenges.
+ Familiarity with business analysis tools, data analysis software, and an understanding of software development methodologies.
+ Expertise in gathering and documenting detailed business requirements and creating functional specifications.
+ Skill in managing relationships and expectations among diverse stakeholders, and management.
+ Ability to adapt to changing project scopes, priorities, and timelines while remaining focused on delivering quality outcomes.
