Business Analyst II

The Business Analyst II will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The Business Analyst II will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analyze business processes and assist in the design and implementation of technology solutions that align with the organizational goals. This position is onsite and requires regular presence at our Columbia, MD office. Remote work arrangements are not available for this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Gathers, documents, and validates business requirements through interviews, workshops, and document analysis + Creates use cases, process flows, and user stories to effectively communicate requirements + Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and contributes to the development of solutions + Participates in requirement reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals + Contributes to the development of business analysis artifacts such as requirement documents, impact assessments, and traceability matrices + Facilitates meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather insights from stakeholders + Contributes to testing efforts by assisting in test case development, execution, and defect tracking + Performs data analysis to provide actionable insights for decision-making + Applies business analysis best practices, techniques, and tools + Contributes to maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle + Supports the team in preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders + Identifies opportunities for product improvements and present to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner + Educates other stakeholders on goals and product direction + Leads effective product demonstration + Interacts effectively with clients + Facilitates effective problem solving sessions + Operates in an agile manner, serving in any capacity helpful to the team to deliver needed results Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field, and five (5) years of relevant experience preferred + Strong interest in business analysis, process improvement, and problem-solving + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal + Proficiency in the English language is required + Basic understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint + Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and organize information effectively + Strong analytical skills and the ability to grasp complex concepts + Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes + Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with diverse stakeholders + Relevant internships, coursework, or projects related to business analysis preferred + Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Medical/Prescription, Dental, Vision, Health Advocacy (company paid if enrolled Medical), Health Advocate Employee Assistance Program, Health Savings Account , 401(k), 401(k) Company Match, Profit Sharing, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Primary Caregiver Leave, Parental Leave, Life and Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, Voluntary Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, Hospital Expense Protection Plan, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, Home and Auto Insurance, Pet Insurance, MilkStork, Transportation Benefit, Educational Assistance Program, College Partnership Program, Paid Time Off/Company Holidays *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
