Business Analyst - Credit Risk
Description Business group: Risk Management •Retail and Small Business Models, Analytics & Strategy develops and owns (end-to-end), the Bank’s Retail AIRB Capital Forecasting and Retail Decisioning Models (Originations, Account Management, Collections) Skill Requirements: 1) 5+ years’ experience business analysis, requirements gathering/interpretation, process mapping, data mapping 2) Strong experience in Risk Management and some understanding of capital/ifrs9 parameters (models that are being built) and interpreting already built models (ie: "Probability of Default" or "PD" or "Loss given default" or "LGD" or "Exposure at default" or "EAD") 3) Expert level skills with business productivity software (ex., MS Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, MS Teams, Lists) 4) Understanding fundamentals/process of data governance/data lineage 5) Intermediate SQL skills, able to write queries (do joins, summary assessments, etc) Additional Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with credit risk models/scorecards • An understanding of statistical prediction, estimation, and forecasting models • Domain expertise with retail & small business banking products and risk management practices • Programming experience (Python, SAS) You will work, day-to-day under the direction of the Regulatory Capital team, leveraging your analytic thinking and approach to support Regulatory Capital Modelling initiatives: Plan and manage initiatives, Map and / or re-engineer key processes, data flows and / or business rules, Translate concepts into algorithms and architect implementation solutions by business needs, and internal/regulatory policies and guidelines. This role will support several critical core activities in the Capital models space and contribute to critical regulatory and transformational initiatives You will be a critical member of a team collaborating, on a near daily basis, with a wide range of cross-bank stakeholders and internal partners including Model Developers, Project Management Office, Technology & Data teams, Finance, Model Operations, and internal challenge functions Soft Skills: • A demonstrated history of problem-solving, technology implementation, and sound judgment • Fluent English-language verbal and written communications: the ability to distill complex and ambiguous operational processes, business requirements/rules and data sets into process flows and analysis, concisely convey technical requirements and requests, prepare and edit high-quality documentation, and be accepted as a trusted advisor by peers • Able to work remotely and on-site on multiple activities simultaneously and meet deadlines Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
