Business Analyst
Description The Business Analyst will support the Florida Department of Education by serving as the liaison between business units and the IT organization to deliver technical solutions that meet user needs. Responsibilities include documenting business and technical requirements, participating in stakeholder meetings, evaluating new requirements introduced by law or policy, and supporting project managers to ensure applications meet scope and quality standards. The analyst will actively participate in project activities, ensure documentation accuracy, coordinate communication among customers and technical staff, identify risks or obstacles, support contingency planning efforts, and engage in communication with state and federal partners as needed. Two years of web application development and one year working with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Visual Studio .NET are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint is essential. Additional desired experience includes governance or project management involvement, engagement with large-scale and high‑profile technology implementations, collaboration with diverse stakeholder groups, and work with software or hardware vendors. Experience in Florida state government, particularly in Education or Early Learning, and work within a program-based project environment are preferred.
