About the Role

The IT Systems Analyst – Finance IT (EDICOM eInvoicing) supports Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global electronic invoicing and tax compliance ecosystem. This role is responsible for the functional and technical support of the EDICOM eInvoicing platform, ensuring compliant, secure, and reliable invoice processing across multiple countries and regulatory frameworks.
In addition to eInvoicing compliance, this role plays a key part in user access management and reporting, ensuring appropriate system access controls, data visibility, and accurate reporting to support Finance, Tax, and Audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities 

Act as the primary IT support contact for the EDICOM eInvoicing application within GBS Finance IT. 

Support global eInvoicing and eReporting processes, including invoice clearance, real-time reporting, and statutory archiving. 

Manage user access administration for EDICOM and related Finance systems, including role-based access, provisioning, deprovisioning, periodic access reviews, and audit support. 

Ensure user access complies with SOX controls, segregation-of-duties (SoD) requirements, and Thermo Fisher security standards. 

Collaborate with Finance, Tax, and Compliance teams to translate country-specific regulatory requirements into system solutions. 

Support and monitor integrations between EDICOM and ERP systems (e.g., SAP SD/FI). 

Analyze and resolve invoice transmission failures, validation errors, and tax authority rejections. 

Design, build, and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports related to invoicing volumes, errors, compliance status, user activity, and operational KPIs. 

Partner with Finance and Audit teams to deliver reporting required for statutory compliance, controls testing, and management review. 

Coordinate regulatory updates, configuration changes, and enhancements with EDICOM and internal integration teams. 

Execute functional testing, UAT coordination, and validation prior to production deployments. 

Maintain system documentation, including access matrices, reporting definitions, SOPs, interface mappings, and test scripts. 

Participate in global Finance IT initiatives related to tax digitization, ERP modernization, and compliance automation. 

 

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Systems, or related field. 

3–6 years of experience in Finance IT, application support, or systems analysis roles. 

Hands-on experience supporting eInvoicing platforms (e.g., Sovos, Pagero, OpenText, Vertex). 

Experience with user access management, role design, access reviews, and audit support in enterprise applications. 

understanding of Order-to-Cash processes, invoicing, and indirect tax concepts. 

Experience supporting ERP Finance modules 

Ability to create and analyze reports using system-native tools, SQL, or reporting platforms. 

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience with global eInvoicing  

Familiarity with SOX, ITGCs, and segregation-of-duties frameworks. 

Experience with integration tools 

Exposure to automation, monitoring dashboards, or analytics platforms. 

Experience working in a global, matrixed organization. 

ITIL, Agile, Finance,
