Business Analyst
Pay Rate: $65 Location: Toronto ON Job Type: Contract

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract (with strong potential for extension).

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in office, with occasional additional on-site days as needed.

Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and process analysis to understand business needs, pain points, and objectives. Perform current-state analysis to identify process gaps and recommend improvement opportunities. Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements and deliver measurable value. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating solutions against requirements and documenting business validation test cases. Act as the primary liaison between business teams, technology partners, and project managers to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare high-quality BRDs, process flows, use cases, and user stories in accordance with organizational standards. Ensure compliance with project governance, risk, and regulatory requirements across all deliverables. Must-Have Skills 3+ years of Business Analyst experience within financial services or insurance. Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid. Proficiency in requirements management tools and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Nice-to-Have Skills Familiarity with project governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks. CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent professional certification.
