OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:

Supports BioLife Laboratory Operations by driving business process improvements, automation, and metric analysis in all areas of BioLife Testing Labs.Responsible for the data gathering and communication between diverse data sources to construct reports and/or models to support key business strategies.Effectively manage multiple projects with varying levels of engagement, scope, and specifications.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

Analysis and Modeling (50%)

Contact for management of operational reportingDefine and articulate business rules required for data accuracy and consistency to maintain regulatory compliance for data integrity.Ability to collaborate with users and interpret the needs of the business, to define concepts and detail report requirements that meet customer performance expectations.Develop reports/business tools and solutions based on process improvement opportunities that facilitate consistency and accountability across departments and geographic regions.Support projects across departments through the development of well-defined measurement standards and supporting data analysis.Utilize advanced software solutions to create reports that pull data from multiple sources as needed (ex., Power BI, Databricks)

Project & System Management Support (40%)

Support ongoing review of key business metrics, system performance, and identify end-user training opportunities.Provide operational support and ongoing training initiatives/systems as assigned to drive cost savings and operational efficiency.Effectively develop, manage, and execute assigned projects, including detailed objectives, scheduling, communication, training, and standards of quality.Provide subject matter expertise to facilitate user requirement specifications via process flow and solution mapping.Support validation of the new computerized system through the creation of datasets

Other as Assigned (10%)

Lead and participate in cross-functional continuous improvement teams.Represents and supports the operations department through written and verbal communication, committee participation, and project team involvement.Other duties as assigned

Interaction

Serves as liaison between departments and laboratories to provide communication, support, and resources to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are met with a high degree of customer satisfaction.Collaborate with DD&T (Digital Data & Technology) to support data analytics and automation.Support the Testing and Validation of new systems and process automations.

Innovation

Development of automation solutions to reduce waste throughout the labs (i.e., repetitive tasks, paper reduction).Develop and maintain metric tracking systems in support of OperationsCreation of production dashboards using business analytics/intelligence software (ex., Power BI).

Complexity

Attention to detail and organizational skills with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a medical or other regulated field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired:

A minimum of 2 years of data analytics experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence reporting tools. Industry knowledge and experience are highly desirable

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Domestic travel as needed  - 10%

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$70,000.00 - $110,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.  The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
