Business Analyst

Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award. 

 

The Work: The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting system/business requirements in the form of user stories and use cases, perform requirement analysis and systems analysis, facilitating design and development of software solutions, assisting with the testing process, and helping quality assurance process. 

Responsible for stakeholder management, requirement elicitation, preparing estimations for business analysis tasks and deliverables, systems analysis, preparing functional specifications using user stories, acceptance criteria and use case narration. Responsible for ensuring unique business needs are properly translated to functional specifications and provide a system solution, assisting with the maintenance of project schedules and developing various status reports.

Job Requirements 

Plan and support business analysis efforts, including stakeholder analysis and communication planning. 

Facilitate requirements gathering through meetings, interviews, and documentation analysis. 

Document and validate business needs, quality attributes, and nonfunctional requirements. 

Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, traceable, and verifiable. 

Validate and manage requirements with stakeholders and team members. 

Support requirements decomposition and write user stories and program functions. 

Manage changes to requirements with effective change control processes. 

Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure clear, testable requirements. 

Maintain documentation and manage concurrent project schedules. 

Develop and deliver weekly and monthly status reports. 
 

Required Skills 

U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements 

Candidate must be able to pass successful Public Trust background check 

Bachelor’s degree in related field 

3+ years of work experience in Information Technology as a Business Analyst and Tester. 

1+years of experience facilitating meetings with business owners, technical leads, and other stakeholders. 

1+years of experience working as the Scrum Master for technical team coordination. 

1+years of experience capturing business needs and developing corresponding functional solutions. 

1+years of experience facilitating the development of technical requirements, user stories, and mockups to address business needs and work with developers and testers to ensure prototype solutions meet expectations. 

 

Desired Skills 

Experience in a government environment 

Experience with Appian BPM tool. Or other BPM tools. Experience with using JIRA. 

Agile development practices 

MS Visio

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$73,722.00 - $125,327.00
