We specialize in merchandising products in retail stores for clients, focusing on delivering impactful in-store experiences. Our Reporting & Analytics team is responsible for managing all data, developing critical dashboards for clients, client managers, and internal stakeholders, and providing actionable insights. Position Summary: The Business Analyst plays a key role in managing reporting and analytics by developing relevant reports and providing accurate, timely, and actionable insights. Reporting to the Sr. Analytics Manager, the Business Analyst will support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards to drive business performance and support business decision-making. This role will work closely with our Client Services team and clients to deliver value and ensure reporting & analytics align with business goals and client expectations. Primary Responsibilities: Team Assistance & Support (40%) + Develop and maintain Power BI reports in partnership with senior team members. + Provide dedicated support for NI & FSA platforms, managing specific system-related tasks. + Utilize AI-driven tools to analyze datasets, uncovering strategic insights to drive client success. + Perform robust data cleaning and ETL processes using to ensure high-quality data for analysis. + Serve as the primary point of contact for daily data requests, taking ownership from initiation to completion. + Collaborate on critical FSA cycle changes and contribute to call report enhancements. + Support the delivery of client presentations, focusing on showcasing key data insights and report findings. Pipeline & Report Development, & Data collection automation (40%) + Lead the development and implementation of strategies to automate key business processes, enhancing efficiency and scalability. + Conduct thorough systems analysis to identify & propose improvements to existing workflows. + Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ensure a seamless and efficient data flow. + Utilize programming languages like Python and VBA, as well as tools such as Power Automate and MS Fabric, to build cutting-edge data solutions. + Drive the modernization of legacy production reports, upgrading them to 2.0 versions or higher and integrating machine learning as needed. + Establish a comprehensive documentation and library system for all production reports and ETL processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and maintainability. + Contribute to data migration projects, ensuring the accurate and seamless transfer of data between systems. + Support the development and maintenance of our data lake architecture, contributing to its overall health and performance. Power BI Dashboard Development (10%) + Develop and design new Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver key insights and support business decisions. + Support client requests by gathering and analyzing detailed requirements to create effective reporting solutions. + Work towards co-ownership of Power BI report development and client interactions, taking on greater responsibility over time. + Contribute to the data model development within Power BI to optimize performance and enhance the usability of dashboards. SQL Development & Analysis (10%) + Write and execute SQL queries to support data extraction and analysis. + Assist with database analysis to maintain data integrity and help identify important trends. + Support the team's efforts to integrate datasets from various sources. + Work towards becoming the go-to expert for SQL development within the team, learning from senior colleagues. + Help with Database Administration (DBA) tasks such as performance tuning and data integrity checks. Qualifications: + Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and data engineering. + Strong proficiency in Power BI for dashboard and report development, including data model development. + Expertise in SQL query development and database analysis. + Experience with ETL pipeline development and defining ETL process protocols. + Familiarity with MS Fabric and its components is highly desirable. + Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and ETL processes. + Experience with automation tools and programming languages such as Python, VBA, and Power Automate. + Ability to extract meaningful insights from large datasets and perform system analysis. + Experience with data migration and data lake development concepts. + Basic understanding of DBA principles is a plus. + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex data findings to clients and stakeholders. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data challenges.
