Job Summary

\n

The Business Analyst 2 examines clinical and financial performance. This helps achieve compliance with regulations, accomplish business strategy, and develop cost containment and care delivery strategies.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nUses in-depth knowledge of healthcare business practices, statistical testing, and health plan data to aid critical business functions and decision-making.\nDevelops data models to estimate the impact of different scenarios. Examines findings and provides actionable insight recommendations. Creates partnerships with resources and leadership to drive data-driven decision making.\nProvides explanations, interpretations, and recommendations for reporting results.\nDevelops dashboard reports and management summaries to present data findings professionally, concisely, and readably for the content and audience.\nDocuments processes and reason applied in reporting.\nPerforms consistent quality review of data and report results.\nKnows and communicates pertinent regulatory requirements to department staff.\nAccountable for gaining consensus on guidelines and metric definitions.\nActs as a Subject Matter Professional for processes, new projects, and implementations or upgrades to existing systems or products.\nWorks with all levels of internal and external staff, including senior management, to develop and implement business requirements.\nMay engage with external vendors or regulatory staff on implementations or new projects.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nExperienced proficiency in Excel and PowerBI required\nAble to work through complex business problems and partner with clients using a consultative approach\nExceptional data/modeling skills with ability to convert raw data into actionable business insights\nAble to apply knowledge of healthcare industry trends and their drivers\nAble to work in a dynamic setting and work well under pressure\nIntermediate to advanced knowledge of statistics (including modeling techniques) preferred\nLean Six Sigma experience preferred\n\n
