Job Description

Your Role:

As a Business Analyst with a strong software development understanding, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable software solutions within our Bosch Digital Business Unit. You will expertly bridge the gap between high-level architectural concepts and hands-on implementation, ensuring our systems are not only performant but also well-documented, maintainable, and aligned with Bosch's high quality standards. You will translate requirements into effective technical solutions for our network policy management and automation tools with 10k+ users globally, always with an eye on the bigger architectural picture.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Requirements engineering:  Collect, analyze and challenge business requirements from various stakeholders across different regions and functions, particularly in the network and cybersecurity domain.  Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional specifications (e.g., user stories, use cases, process flows, sequence diagrams).Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with international and cross-functional teams, including product owners, system engineers, QAs, and other development teams, to deliver integrated and high-performing solutions. Your ability to understand and translate business requirements will be highly valued.Problem Solving & Innovation: Analyze complex technical challenges, debug intricate issues, and proactively identify innovative solutions that enhance our products and processes.Technical Documentation & Communication: Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive, and up-to-date technical documentation (e.g., API specifications, architectural diagrams, design documents, decision records). You are interested in explaining complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.Architectural Contribution: Actively contribute to the architectural design and evolution of complex software systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability. Drive the implementation of architectural best practices.Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software components and applications, primarily using Python (with Django framework) and JavaScript. You will leverage modern containerization technologies like Docker and deployment platforms such as OpenShift.Code Quality & Best Practices: Uphold and promote clean code principles, robust testing methodologies, and adherence to Bosch's development standards and guidelines within the team.Knowledge Sharing: Actively share your expertise, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the Bosch engineering community.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Network knowledge is a big plus.Business Analyst Expertise: Experience as a Business Analyst or strong interest/ability in gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into technical specifications in the networkers area is a significant advantage. You enjoy understanding the "why" behind features and bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.Domain Knowledge: Experience with or strong interest in network policy management and automation tools (e.g. tufin). Your ability to translate network-specific requirements into software solutions will be key.Interest in Technical Documentation: A genuine interest in and proven ability to create high-quality, precise technical documentation that simplifies complex information.Architectural Know-How: Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and system integration. Experience with cloud-native architectures is highly valued.Software Development Experience: Experience as a Software Developer, with a strong track record of developing and delivering complex software solutions.Technical Proficiency:Strong proficiency in Python, ideally with hands-on experience using the Django framework.Practical experience with Docker for containerization.Familiarity with container orchestration platforms, specifically OpenShift/Kubernetes, is a strong plus.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.Language Skills: Excellent command of English (written and spoken) is mandatory to collaborate effectively with our international teams.Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a proactive and self-driven mindset, and a dedicated team player attitude. Experience in an agile development environment is a plus. For organizing and steering our product developments it is an advantage be familiar with Jira.
