The Business Analyst, HR is a key contributor to optimizing Human Resources operations across all divisions of Select Medical. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and visualizing data to support strategic HR initiatives and enhance decision-making. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with HR leadership, operational teams, and other stakeholders to identify business needs, streamline data collection processes, and develop innovative solutions that drive efficiency and insight. This position also plays a vital role in supporting continuous process improvement efforts within the HR function.
Responsibilities
Data Gathering and Analysis:
Collect and organize HR-related data to from various sourcesUtilize Oracle reports, advanced Excel functions, Microsoft Access, and Microstrategy dashboards to clean and transform data while ensuring accuracy and clarityMaintain weekly and monthly processes involving data manipulation via Excel and uploads to various software vendors to support HR programsRequirements Gathering and Development:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate requirements into actionable solutionsIdentify process improvements regarding data collection for Select Medical’s HRISDevelop and refine MicroStrategy dashboards, Excel spreadsheets, and Access databases to meet specific HR objectivesTesting and Quality Assurance:
Conduct rigorous testing of developed solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and usabilityTroubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies identified during testing phasesImplementation and Integration:
Deploy and maintain ad-hoc MicroStrategy dashboardsCoordinate with Information Systems (IS) teams to implement and integrate HR tools seamlessly within existing systemsEnsure smooth deployment and compatibility with other organizational software and platformsTraining and Support:
Prepare comprehensive training materials and aids to facilitate user adoption of new tools and processesConduct training sessions for HR, Leadership, and Operational staff as necessary to ensure proficiency in utilizing HR analytics tools QualificationsProven experience in data gathering, cleaning, and transformingProficiency in ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExperience in healthcare or HR analytics is preferred but not required
