Position Summary
Manages bulk planning activities for the distillery, drain & fill, blending, shipments, tracking actual progress and identifying cause/effect relationship of variances that is critical for meeting budget targets, grain procurement, empty barrel movements and bulk profit. Consistent Cdn Lakes customer communication and relationship management building competitive advantage services.
Key Responsibilities
OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son’s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities. Manages all process flows, non conformances and training records for the bulk department.Customer relationship management – responsible to develop and maintain competitive advantage relationships and services with Canadian Lakes bulk customers. Prepares & Distributes Customer Reporting Package, audits customer invoices to ensure compliance to contracts and responds to customer specific requests including product specifications, supplier compliance documents and customer / ship to set up.Empty Barrel Management – Tracks actual vs target progress with updates to Finance on a quarterly basis. Manages the sale of surplus barrels including negotiating prices and contract terms. Manages all activity at Timberwolf and is the key point of contact for communication between Bulk, D&F and Timberwolf for filling and drain planning. Conducts monthly physical counts and reconciliation to JDE.Bulk Profit – Consolidates 3rd Party contract terms into a concise Customer contract report that is updated on a monthly basis to identify any risks to the Budget and makes recommendations to realign operational schedules. Communicates pricing and billing information to Finance to ensure accuracy to contract terms.Back up for Bulk Customer Service.Required Skills & Abilities
Customer service relationship management.Ability to extract, analyze and compile data into meaningful reports.Computer skills – Excel, Word, MRP software.Equivalent experience of 3 years in manufacturing environment.Education
Required: College Diploma in Business.Preferred: Bachelor Degree, Business / Supply Chains.Financial Responsibility
May track or report data and handle administrative tasks.
